There are a lot of persons that can state they work at Hollywood, but how many of them can really say that they are actors? Of course, many of them don't even claim the fact that they have the necessary talent. But what about Tracy Morgan and his acting skills?
Like many actors, Tracy Morgan started as a stand-up comedian on the stages of New York, a thing he is still doing now. Obviously, he obtained a lot of roles in comedies as one of the "funny guys". He definitely has a gift for making people laugh and this is very appreciated by the American public, in Hollywood productions and also in television shows. You can say that he only played in pretty bad movies like "How High" and "Last Sunday", but his performance was not bad at all and he did his job quite well. A few movie critics say his acting is awful and that he will never be able to obtain a role in a good movie. Nevertheless, there were also actors that performed in B movies all their life and became famous instantly with one good role. Maybe this will be the case with Tracy Morgan, despite the fact that he seems more interested in his activity as a stand-up comedian and television shows rather than Hollywood appearances.

Tracy Morgan's problems with the law

Like a lot of Hollywood stars, Tracy Morgan had a couple of problems with the law over the years. It seems that celebrity does not always bring good things, problems coming along with money and fame in most cases.
Despite the fact that Tracy Morgan grew up in Bronx, his record stated no problems at all, being almost a model citizen until a few years ago. In December 2005 he was arrested by the police department from Hollywood for impaired driving charges. A year passed and in November 2006 Tracy Morgan was arrested in Manhattan for driving under the influence of alcohol, but he got away easily. However, his problems related to alcohol consumption did not end there and in May 2007 a female DJ from Miami accused him for fondling her in the studio of a local radio station. It seems that he was under the influence of alcohol at that time so he was convicted to wearing a remote alcohol monitoring ankle bracelet for almost three months. After admitting that he did not restrain from alcohol consumption, he had to wear the bracelet for another three months. Luckily for him, he avoided being sentenced to jail because of breaking the agreement, but it is likely that Tracy Morgan will also have problems with the law in the future.

Tracy Morgan was born on November 10, 1968 in Bronx, New York. His father was Jimmy Morgan, a known musician in that area. Tracy attended high school in his neighborhood at De Witt Clinton High School and his talent was spotted in 1984 while he was doing stand-up comedy shows at The Apollo. A period of professional success followed, in which he was given the role of Hustle Man in a TV series named "Martin". From 1992 to 1994, Tracy Morgan appeared in "Uptown Comedy Club" and also in a HBO show called "Snaps". Big success came for Tracy in 1996 when he was cast in "Saturday Night Live", a comedy show in which he starred until 2003 when he started work at his own show called "The Tracy Morgan Show". Unfortunately for him, audiences were really low so the producers cancelled the show after only one season. Since then, he featured a couple of stand-up comedy shows on different stages and televisions. Success came for Tracy Morgan at Hollywood, where he played in several movies, some of them recording great revenues. He starred along Adam Sandler in "The Longest Yard" and along Ice Cube in "Are We There Yet?" and "First Sunday". He also made a minor appearance in the comedy "How High", along with Redman and Method Man.
